HOW TO…MAKE A TEMPLATE
Templates are useful because you make a form that you use often, save, and use it again and again.
It keeps you from having to type the same information over and over.
Start>All Programs>Microsoft Works>Microscoft Works Word Processor
View>Toolbars>Standard
File>Page Setup>Margins>Source, Size & Orientation (select yours)>OK
View>Header and Footer (see extra toolbar)
Align cursor left, center, or right by clicking icon of horizontal lines
Type name of Template>click on date and time icons if desired
To insert a picture if desired, Insert>Picture>Clip Art or From File
On extra toolbar, click icon that says switch between Header and Footer
Click on # icon on toolbar, if you desire to number pages
On Toolbar, click on Font, Size, and Color selections>File>Save
Save in: My Documents>File name: type in name>Save as type:Works Template>Save
Click X Close on Toolbar
X out of Word Processor
Using Your Template
Start>All Programs>Microsoft Works >Microsoft Works Task Launcher>Personal Templates>Click on the template you want to use>Start this task
